Jessie s fabulous workshop..............

Oh what a lovely day, of cake and sunshine and embroidery, it was quite magical....there was even filming taking place outside the window...and very recognisable starlets wandering past in the sunshine......
I wanted to share some of the lovely accessories available in the shop. I often think that a gift can be made just so special with a pretty tag and some gorgeous tape, it is always the finishing touches that count....
so I thought I would share some of the pretty things Jessie makes...............
  Fabulous tags..........................

a lovely book with beautiful pictures of her work...........................
the most gorgeous sellotape.............

pretty sewing kits

and just look at these hand made hearts.......
I will show you lots of other lovely things from my workshop later in the week.
Happy sewing

A rather lovely week

I have been making some new bags with lovely handles, so I have popped one of them in the picture for you to see, the other one is in my etsy shop.
( sorry this one has just  sold) xx
Last year we bought some very very long doors from a visit to France, so this week(I've dragged my feet a bit ha ha ) I have rubbed them both down and re-waxed  them with Annie Sloane waxes (which are fabulous) and put them back up,took me all day ! I have kept the ochre colour as I love it with the other shades of wood in the house.......

I had the most fabulous finds at the car boot, this is a wonderful tambour work curtain covered in bows and flowers in creamy white pristine condition.....

and a beautiful double bedspread in gentle faded colours.

the car boot is never usually quite that exciting!I mainly use it to buy my clothes and books. Also my friends had some lovely buys too, so that was fabulous all around, and I didn't feel like I had got all the goodies ha ha ...
I am off to London next week to a Jessie Chorley workshop so I hope to have some great pictures for you when I come home...

Lots of love and thank you for your most welcome comments,  I have found not being at work and with my old collegues is isolating and I miss my friends so its lovely to hear from you my blog pals and I treasure everyone of those messages thank you xxx

Running wild................. a quick hello xxx

I have a love of water meadows and this is part of my  run.

The Ribble our local river floods on a regular basis and fills the flower meadows with minerals so the soil is rich and healthy with really lush grass and tons of wild flowers like Ladys Smock, campion, we even have huge borage clumps and bluebells of course. I saw dragonflies and a Kingfisher today and loads of beautiful white swans.  The river itself  is woven with mini shoals of tiny fishes all swimming in their own made up waves and patterns barely room for the mermaids!  I am going to do some wild swimming when the weather warms up a little but not in this part of the river just a bit further down round the bend...there is a nice spot.... do you wild swim? or know of any swimming rivers xxx
